Overview
[edit]The 1999 Starcraft Season 5 Ladder ran through the Spring of 1999 to determine the top ten players on the official ladder.[1] This season marked one of the earliest StarCraft ladders recorded officially by Blizzard Entertainment. Blizzard also recognized the top ten ladder finishers of Starcraft Seasons 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7, as well as holding a play-off tournament during the 1998 Starcraft Season 3 Ladder Tournament.

First place finisher will be presented with a Starcraft championship trophy designed especially by Blizzard Entertainment and will also receive an autographed copy of Starcraft, signed by the development team. Also included will be a special gold master pressing of Starcraft. The rest of the top ten finishers will be receiving commemorative plaques engraved with their names and rankings for the Spring 1999 Season.
