Information[edit]
The top three teams from the previous season, SK Telecom T1, KTF MagicNs, and SUMA GO were seeded into the tournament. As a result, they did not participate in the qualifiers.
The qualifiers took place on June 6th, 2004.

Format[edit]
The qualifier tournament was double elimination. Each match was played as a best of seven in what is now known as Winners League format, in which the winning player of each game remained to play the next challenging player of the other team. The winning team of each match qualified for the main tournament, and the losing team was placed into an elimination bracket. The winner of the elimination bracket also qualified.
