The 2005 So1 OSL was held from August through November 2005. This OnGameNet Starleague (OSL) was notable for the heavily watched and spectated finals, setting television viewership records for esports.[1][2]
For the sixth time of his career, BoxeR made it to the finals of an OSL. He there faced the Protoss Anytime who won 3:2 and thus became a Royal Roader.[3]

Format[edit]
The preliminary group round was played using a four-person round robin format. The top eight finishers then competed in a single elimination bracket where the quarterfinal round was a best of three format while the best of five format was used for both the semifinals and finals.
