sAviOr's Break Out Tournament[edit]

This tournament was IPXZerg "sAviOr" first big stage appearance as a pro gamer, he was considered the new guy at the time but many people saw the potential in his play. sAviOr starts his run for the 2005 UZOO MSL facing off with Nada in a best of one, sAviOr is able to take the game off Nada, no easy feat. From there he moves onto round two versus the Protoss player Zeus dropping one game to him but taking the series in the end. In the third round of the winners bracket sAviOr faces us against one of the Three "Protoss Kings" Reach himself a favorite to take the whole series.[1] sAviOr is able to take the series with an amazing 2-0 over Reach. In round 6 sAviOr faces a tough ZvZ with ChoJJa they play all 5 games with sAviOr managing to take game 5 to move onto the finals. The finals is a rematch between sAviOr and Reach, with sAviOr only dropping one game to Reach he takes the series and wins the tournament.

This victory is the first of many in sAviOrs career, he is later described by a member of TL as one of the "Zerg Kings" he holds this title with few other zergs most notably July, Yellow and ChoJJa. The last being one of the many players he defeated on his way to final victory in the 2005 UZOO MSL.[2] This thread from way back in January 2006 asks who the best players from each race are, sAviOr is second in the Zerg poll, showing his quick rise to fame after his strong win over Reach.[3] For more information about sAviOr and his pro gaming career take a look at his TLPD page.[4]

Recommended Games[edit]

Loser Bracket Final game 4 Reach versus Chojja became one of the most famous PvZ in MSL history. Very long game and a crucial ending.
