Overview[edit]

Zotac Cup Masters was an offline tournament which was sponsored and hosted by Zotac. It was Zotacs first Brood War tournament since the release of Starcraft 2. Six qualifiers were played with the winners advancing to the LAN finals. The qualifiers were open to all players of all skill levels residing in North America (for the North American qualifiers) and South America (for the South American qualifiers).

The offline finals were played at NewEgg Studio in Los Angeles, California from the 2nd December to the 3rd December, 2017 and casted by Day9, Artosis, Tasteless and Incontrol.

Format[edit]

  • Double-Elimination bracket:
    • The winners of the South American qualifiers are seeded directly into Round 2
    • Bo3 in all rounds of the Winners Bracket
    • Bo3 in all rounds of the Losers Bracket
      • Bo3 in the Losers Bracket Final
    • Bo5 in the Grand Finals.

1 TerrOr was unable to acquire a visa to the United States. He was replaced by UltrA who placed second in South American qualifier #2.

2 Dandy was unable to acquire a visa to the United States. He was replaced by KawaiiRice who placed second in North American qualifier #4.

3 Ty2 won a round robin between RaNgEd, KawaiiRice and himself to determine Dandy's replacement, but did not have the required documents needed to travel interstate. The spot was given to KawaiiRice instead, who had placed second in the round robin.

4 Nyoken had to cancel his participation last minute due to an emergency. He was replaced by Jaeyun.
