Begin your game with a “12hatch/11pool” with the extractor trick

10/9 Make Extractor at 80 minerals (Extractor Trick) 10/9 Overlord 12/16 Dronesx2

  • Pause production until @300 minerals and expand @Natural
  • Pause production until @200 minerals

11/16 Spawning Pool 10/16 Drone 11/16 Drone

  • Save Larva once Spawning Pool is @55%
  • Spawning Pool and Hatchery should complete at about the same time

15/16 Make Zerglings from your 4 larva 14/16 Extractor 15/16 Drone, then Overlord 16/16 Drone

  • @100 gas, upgrade Zergling Speed

16/24 Zerglings 19/24 Extractor @Natural 18/24 Sunken at natural to prevent scouting from sneaky probes

  • Conclusion: 14 Drones, 12 Zerglings, 1 Expansion, 2 Extractors
  • Upgrades: Zergling Speed in progress

Note: Keep 3 drones on your gas at all times.

  • @100 gas, begin Lair tech.

A lot of the time, Protoss players assume “If it’s not a Lurker, it’s a Muta.” So prevent being scouted in your main base.

  • @50% Lair, make your Hydralisk Den. Lair and Den should complete at same time.

22/24 Dronesx4 22/24 Overlord 23/24 Zergling Save Larva

  • @Hydralisk Den completion, begin researching Lurker Aspect

Start spawning Hydralisks from your Larva while Lurker Aspect is upgrading

  • Conclusion: 18 Drones in play, 12~ Zerglings, 1 Expansion, 2 Extractors, Few Hydralisks
  • Upgrades: Lurker Aspect in progress

At this point, you’ll be getting 570~ gas every minute with 2 Extractors, use the gas for Hydra and Lurker production. Think of this as an advantage since your Protoss opponent will have most likely FE’d (Forge/FE). Take this time to take another expansion for more gas, unit production and bolster economy.

Zerg should never be in a defensive position, so try and keep your hold in front of the Protoss players base. Zerg is the most flexible race of the 3 total. Think of this BO as a guideline, don’t follow it exactly as it is.

24/32 Zerglings, Hydralisks, Lurkers, Drones, Spire as needed (Scourge vs Corsair). Keep your foothold strong in front of Protoss base
