Build Order[edit]

The 6 Fac is a common follow-up for FD push or Siege-expand.

There are many variations for this build such as:

  • 2 add-on with non-stop Tanks until mineral line is saturated then adding 4 Factories at once
  • 2 add-on with non-stop Tanks but getting additional 4 Factories faster by cutting SCVs
  • 1 add-on with a very Vulture-heavy army (once again, you can cut SCVs for faster Factories)

Mentality[edit]

The 6 Fac timing push focuses on building up your army and attacking when the Protoss is weak from just having taken his 3rd base. Your goal is to win the game outright or do enough damage to catch back up in economy. Hence, micro is heavily emphasized in this build order. Slow pushing with 6 Factory will give the Protoss too much time to prepare his army and upgrades like Zealot leg speed. So you must strike swiftly and with precision in order to defeat your opponent. Players commonly take their 3rd base as they push out.

Note: Certain players skip Armory and/or Academy for an even more powerful han-bang push. Good scouting will help calibrate your timing so that your pushes can become more deadly!
