BW4Ever Season 11
Overview[edit]
The BW4Ever Kerrigan Tournament Season 11 was hosted by Broodwar.de from January to March 2007. It was the first edition to have a sponsor and is the last season of the prestigious series.
General Information[edit]
Initially eight public tournaments were hosted each Sunday starting on 7 January 2007. An Elo-based ranking was generated for the players. The Top 16 players of this ranking were invited to a final double elimination tournament on 11 March 2007 sponsored by the European mobile phone provider Simyo. With over 300 players in average the 11th Season of BW4Ever was the most popular of the overall project. Due to technical difficulties and lack of manpower the series was first temporarily shut down and later re-placed by Brood War.de's parent's company new tournament system, the so-called inCups. The newly found portal never was as successful as its predecessor.

Misc[edit]
- Many players used smurfs in the initial satellite tournaments which lead to a lot of rumors about their true identity. The runner-up of the first satellite tournament, Sexual, was banned from further tournaments for map hacking. Draco played under the ID ARTISTTRACK18, because he didn't want to spread his replays, since he was training in Korea at that time. After the second tourney players had to play under the real ID.
- The first tournament encoutered many technical difficulties, which delayed the tour for almost two hours
