In 2003 the Brood War Clan League hosted a tournament series in cooperation with's BW4Ever tournament portal: the King of Kings series. This edition continues the tradition of the individual tournaments alongside the league.

The tournament is limited to players who attended the previous BWCL season. Each clan could nominate at least one player to enter the elimination rounds. However, the strongest clans can send more players to represent their respective teams.
