Description[edit]
Crescent Moon is a map released by Blizzard as part of Brood War and intended for non-ladder play. It has some positional imbalances.
The top left and bottom right starting locations are safe from Siege Tanks on high ground since there isn't any high ground nearby. In contrast, such is not the case of the two other starting positions.
The starting location on the middle left has a mineral line that can be harassed by Siege Tanks on the high ground above it while the starting position on the middle right can lose its Command Center/Nexus/Hatchery on to Siege Tanks on the high ground to the left. Its bottom mineral patch can be reached by Siege Tanks too.
Also, the choke points vary in size.
