General Information
[edit]The fourth season of the D Rank Team League was organized by L_Master in February 2013 on Teamliquid. Every player with a D-/D/D+ ranking on iCCup was allowed to join, and players with better results could sign up as coach. Certain exceptions were made to players who had hit their max rank a long time ago, who were "borderline" cases, or who had been D Ranks participants for multiple seasons prior.
Format
[edit]Nine teams were formed at the start of the season. Free agents were then drafted into teams to help even out the differences in team sizes. Each week, the teams will play a match in a Best-of-Five Format. Five different players will be fielded per team, and all matches will be played regardless of the overall score. Due to the odd number of teams, a bye will be awarded to one team on a weekly basis.
At the end of the regular season, the top four teams in the standings (determined by Win-Loss Ratio and number of maps won, in that order) advance to the playoffs. These four teams will be placed into a single-elimination Best-of-One Bracket. The seeding in the brackets will be 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd.
