Overview

A ling block is a simple technique of hiding a Burrowed Defiler. You need the Burrow from the Hatchery for this technique. The technique is similar to Overlord blocking but if you don't have an Overlord around you can use a Zergling to hide your Defiler.

You can also Burrow several Zerglings to make it confusing where the Defiler is but it's a good idea to keep the Defiler close to a Nydus Canal to make any Science Vessel lose track of your Defiler. If you see the Terran is about to attack, try to build an Overlord to cover your your Defiler. But if you don't have time for that you can Burrow stack, simply Burrow your ling on top of your Defiler, unborrow your Defiler, place down a Dark Swarm or Plague and Insta-burrow to try to avoid the Irradiate. Even if the Defiler is burrowed over the ling, only the ling can be clicked on which makes Irradiate ineffective, if the Terran irradiates too late only the Zergling will be irradiated.
