LoveTV BJ Starleague
Overview[edit]
The LoveTV BJ Starleague is a series of StarCraft tournaments broadcasted on Afreeca by LoveTV. LoveTV is run by an individual from South Korea, the channel runs several StarCraft related events and competitions. With a strong field of ex-pro-gamers, the LoveTV BJ Starleague has been one of the most prominent Brood War tournaments since KeSPA switched to StarCraft II.
Tournament Format[edit]
The LoveTV BJ Starleague is a 32-player tournament played on the Fish Server. The tournament is divided into several stages, the first is the round of 32 group stage, followed by the round of 16 group stage and an elimination bracket.
Players who are invited have generally been among the stronger and more popular active players.
Group Stage[edit]

The 32 or 16 players are generally divided into 8 or 4 groups of 4 players each. The group stages are generally a dual-tournament format. There are generally two opening match-ups of each group, the match-ups in the group stages are best of 3. The two winners generally go on to face each other, the same goes for the losers. The player who lost in the winners match generally goes on to face the player who won the losers match. The top two of each group generally advance to the next stage of the tournament.
Elimination Bracket[edit]
The elimination bracket is the final round of the tournament. The format is generally a classic 8 person single-elimination tournament that is either best of 5 or 7.
