Group stages, into single elimination, tournament bracket
Background[edit]
To try and accommodate some of the blue B-rankers and to try and raise activity, I'll be starting a new league welcoming all ranks up to B-level max. This can be somewhat considered "more prestigious" than the other Starleague I host in the Crimson Starleague, but I'll be paying equal attention to both.
The format for this is separated into a Qualifying Ladder portion, which will last 5 weeks, and then a single elimination, tournament bracket that will last 5 weeks as well.
The Qualifying Ladder is considered to be the qualifiers. The current iCCup season (Season 30) is set to end at February 28. So, as soon as the next season (Season 31) starts, that's when the Starleague will start. Players that have joined the MSL team will have 5 weeks, until April 5, to ladder and rank up as high as they can to qualify. The top 28 will gain qualification, with the top 4 gaining a seed directly into the Round-of-16.
During the Qualifying Ladder stage, during the first 4 weeks, you MUST play against only MSL players. I will be checking Match Lists, and if I see that you have played against a non-MSL player, you will be disqualified immediately. In the last week of the ladder stage, from March 30 to April 5. you will be allowed to play against ANYONE, whether the opponent is in MSL or not. The general channel for MSL players will be in Op MSL @ iCCup. I'll try and be active in the channel as much as possible, but I can't guarantee that I'll be playing a ton of games myself.
The top 28 will in the ladder will qualify into the elimination stages, where the top 4 are seeded into Ro16, and the bottom 24 will play amongst each other in the group stages.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of sign-ups, the Qualifying Ladder portion was removed, and the tournament will start straight into a Round-of-32 group stage.

- Note: Favian[PaiN] allows SouthPark to play his main race in the Finals. SouthPark opts to play Zerg for one set.
