Wavelet eventually won the first NWMC Series by receiving the most number of votes from TL users during the final voting round. It was voted as the number one map during all stages of the contest, including the semi finals stage (i.e., selection of 12 maps to advance to next round), finalist stage (selection of four maps to be play tested in four separate tournaments) and final voting round (selection of #1 map).
