PGTour

From Liquipedia StarCraft Brood War Wiki

The Pro Gamers Tour (PGTour.net) was a fanpage for StarCraft Brood War from 2004 until 2006. It featured a very popular global ladder system, players from all over the world participated. PGTour was run by Pat, who was not a Starcraft player himself. PGTour was one of the most popular Broodwar websites at it's time.

History[edit]

PGTour was launched in 2004. It was closed down in 2006 after a hacking attack. Attacker deleted MySQL tables with forum posts, news and BNet-X stats.[1][2]. After server closed down, many players migrated to ICCup.

Ladder System[edit]

PGTour featured 1v1 and 2v2 ladders, with ranks ranging from D to A. Countries were also ranked in 1v1 and 2v2, according to average stats of their players.

Clan League[edit]
