Polaris Rhapsody was selected as a new map for the 2010 Shinhan Bank Proleague Round 4, together with Grand Line. They replaced Neo Moon Glaive and New Tornado.^[1]

Notable Features[edit]

Three Different Routes - There are three different routes that players can take to the opposite main. Each path gives players a different tactical situation that they can use to suit their playing style (aggressive, defensive, standard, all-in, etc.). All three routes are different. The fastest route through the center has narrow bridges, 3/9 o'clock requires you to get over 1 ramp and 12/6 o'clock requires you to get over 2 ramps.
Easily Defensible Third Gas - 1/7 o'clock expos are easily defended by the players starting at 11/5 respectively.
Competitive Middle Expansions - For expansions at 3/9, both players can compete for it. Hence, holding the center of the map (and the high ground surrounding it) becomes important for late game play.
