Description[edit]

Polypoid is a 4 player map with 16 total bases, it is one of the four new maps for ASL9.

Main Bases (1,5,7 and 10 o'clock): 9 mineral patches at 1500 each, 1 Geyser with 5000 Gas, single ramp entrance.

Natural Expansions ( 2,5:30,8 and 11 o'clock): 7 mineral patches at 1500 each, 1 Geyser with 5000 Gas, each entrance can be walled.

Third Bases (1:30,4,7(more in the center) and 10(more in the center) o'clock): 6 mineral patches at 1500 each, mineral only, totally open with only cliffs behind towards the main.

4th Bases (3,6,9,12 o'clock : 7 mineral patches at 1500 each, 1 Geyser with 5000 gas, two ramp entrances.

Notable Features[edit]

  • Rush time: horizontal and vertical 30 seconds, diagonal 40 seconds.
  • Very open map,which permits large encirclements, especially in the center and around the 3rd bases.
  • The center isn't buildable, but around it there is the possiblity for proxies.
  • Ursadons are roaming around the map, most likely to be found at the 4th.
  • Big main base ->Drops of any kind into the main are a constant threat.
