Biography[edit]

Fredrik Østervold, better known as [GG99]Slayer, was considered one of the fastest players of his era with APM that few matched at the time. Back in the year 2000 he got the opportunity to fly over to Korea to participate in the 2nd KBK. A Norwegian camera crew followed him and documented his journey. He ended up winning the entire tournament, beating I.Love_Star in the finals, and the documentary was aired on Norwegian television. "Alias: Slayer", as the documentary was called, got nominated for the 2001 Amanda Awards for best documentary.

After winning the KBK, Slayer was offered to join a progaming team but, being only 16 years old at the time, decided against it and instead wanted to focus on his studies.

He is now a professional poker player.
