[edit]Snowbound is a four-player island map released with Brood War and intended for ladder play.
Apart from being a ladder map, it was also used in the 1998 StarCraft Brood War Beta Tournament. After that it went on to be a staple map used in many professional tournaments alongside maps like Ashrigo, Lost Temple and Rivalry.
