Technique
Splitting refers to the skill of sending your first four workers to different mineral patches. A perfect split is getting all four workers on different patches on the first run. Secondly, rally your workers to go towards your mineral lines so they get there in the quickest possible time.
Although having a perfect split is ideal, it generally has no effect on the outcome of the match. However, splitting 3 of the first 4 workers properly is important, because it allows you to start building your 6th worker faster.
Technique[edit]
Splitting workers is pretty straightforward. Even though some players clone their workers, drag or click selecting them is much faster.

Split Training Maps[edit]
