The Small Divide is a map released by Blizzard with StarCraft and intended for non-ladder play. It's an island map and has some positional imbalances.
The gas of the North-West expansioncan be reached by Siege Tanks placed in the expansion on the other side of the rift. The same does not hold for the gas of the other expansion.
Because there are no connections between the two mains, fast air is the most common build.
Notable Features[edit]
- Very small map.
- Only one expansion per starting position.
- Those expansions are unreachable by land from the starting positions.
- Only 500 Vespene Gas per Vespene Geyser.
- Has a Use Map Settings mode.
