Björn Mikael "WhistleR" Ehrnberg is a Norwegian Zerg player and member of the International Federation of Untouchables.
Overview[edit]
WhistleR first appeared as notable player around 2006, when he appeared as player in Norway's national team roster[1]. In between 2006 and 2009 WhistleR was member of some more notable teams, such as Get., MicroGamerZ and the Infernal Gamers. With better training partners the Scandinavian Zerg improved significantly over time and eventually was able to compete in higher level foreigner tournaments. The first signs of a break through could be observed in ICCup's third ladder season: In this WhistleR finished as one of the Top 32 players of the ladder[2]. Shortly after, a convincing victory over White-Ra in a Face 2 Face show match followed[3]. Even though WhistleR signed up for multiple tournaments high finishes went missing for the most part.
With the release of the StarCraft II Wings of Liberty Beta WhistleR went inactive for half a year. He then later started to play again. In the post-beta foreign scene WhistleR finally managed to establish himself as top class player. He won a minor GosuGamers weekly tournament and finished as runner up in the Defiler Tour 18, only losing to Sziky. In the same year, he won the Justin.tv King of the Hill Invitational and finished third in the Reality-Defined.com Winners Tournament. Afterwards WhistleR went inactive again. He came back as somewhat active player in 2013 again, winning another silver medal in the Defiler Tournament Series. However, after his second break WhistleR was no where near his former form of 2011.
