General Information[edit]
The European Cyber Games 2003 were hosted in Paris and sponsored by Samsung. It was a warm up tournament for the WCG 2003 main event with a moderate prize pool featuring the best European players. The 16 WCG National Finalist Winners were automatically qualified for this event. However, due to hardware problems [1] the original format had to be changed. Instead of a group stage with a subsequent knock out grid only a 16 Single-elimination Bracket was made, with a Best of One modus.
Due to the lack of time the third place match was never played.
