The WCG Korean National Preliminaries 2003 were held from August 16-17, 2003.
The top three players qualified for the WCG 2003 Grand Finals in Seoul, Korea.

Format[edit]
The Korean qualifying tournament was composed of 63 players in a Final Preliminary offline tournament on August 16 and 17, 2003.
To select the 32 final contestants, two routes were made available for entry:
- 16 participants from an initial First Leg offline tournament composed of professional players[1]
- 47 participants from an online ladder system composed of both amateurs and professionals[2]
For the First Leg tournament, 47 participants competed for the 16 spots:
- Round 1 group stage, where the top 12 contestants advanced
- Round 2 elimination brackets, where the top 4 contestants also advanced
In the Final Preliminary bracket, the format used was as follows:
- 63 players in a single elimination brackets
- All matches were Bo1
- All participants used a predetermined map for each round

Result: First Leg[edit]
The First Leg tournament was played in a Round 1 group stage where the top 12 participants would advance into the Final Preliminary.
The other 23 top finishers would proceed to the Round 2, a series of four single elimination brackets to select the final 4 participants for the Final Preliminary.
