  • There were two Code S foreigners in this tournament: Jinro, IdrA, and 2 Code A foreigners: Ret, Loner.

  • Bleach (ByuN) was the first player in the GSL to switch race, from Protoss to Terran.
  • MarineKing was the first player to make it to two GSL finals.
  • This GSL saw the first Mirror Match-up and 4-0 Win in the Final.
