The 2012 StarCraft II World Championship Series: Taiwan Nationals is a StarCraft II tournament hosted by Blizzard for 32 players from Taiwan. The top 8 players will qualify to the Asia Finals.

About[edit]

Format[edit]

  • Ro32: Dual Tournament format.
    • Best of 1.
    • The 4 players of each group are split into two pairs and play each other.
    • The winners of these matches will then face each other in the Winner’s match.
      • The victor places first in the group and advances to the Ro16.
    • The losers of the initial matches face each other in the Loser’s match.
    • The loser of the Winner’s match and the winner of the Loser’s match will face each other in a fifth match.
      • The winner advances to the Ro16.
  • Ro16: Dual Tournament format.
    • Best of 1.
    • The 4 players of each group in Ro16 will face off similar to Ro32.
    • The losers of Ro16 will go to wildcard bracket.
  • The champion of wildcard bracket is qualified for the Asian Finals.
  • Top 8 are qualified for the Asian Finals.

450,000 NT$ and nine paid trips to the 2012 StarCraft II World Championship Series Asia Finals is spread among the players as seen below. Additionally the winner receives a direct seed to the 2012 Battle.net World Championship.[1]
