The Red Bull Battle Grounds: Global is the third event of the 2014 Red Bull Series, and is held at the Red Bull studios in Santa Monica, California. Six players coming from everywhere in the world, and qualified through three online qualifiers, compete for an invitation to the Red Bull Battle Ground: Washington.[1]

Format

  • Qualifiers:
    • Three qualifiers:
      • Qualifier #1 on July 24th – 11 a.m. PT
      • Qualifier #2 on July 27th – 11 a.m. PT
      • Qualifier #3 on July 31st – 11 a.m. PT
    • Single-elimination bracket
    • Matches are best of three
  • Finals:
    • Six players who each start with three lives.
    • In the order of their seeding, each player can chose in which order they will challenge another one in a best of three match.
    • The loser of the match loses a life while the winner is awarded $100.
    • When a player has lost their three lives, they are out of the tournament.
    • At the end of each day, $2,400 are shared between the players who are still alive.
    • At the end of the competition, the winner will be given an additional $100 for each remaining life.

Prize Pool

Trust could not come due to passport issues and was firstly replaced by herO.[2] But herO also had to cancel due to a conflicting tournament date, and was replaced by MMA.[3]
