Format
[edit]- 24 players in a single round of 12 Up-and-Down matches.
- 15 players come from the Qualifiers and 9 players are seeded.
- MacSed is the global seed.
- Leenock, Rogue, Dear, and Super are last seasons Ro8 losers.
- INnoVation, Cure, Losira, and Zest are the top performers of 2015 Proleague round 1 (respectively Overall, Terran, Zerg and Protoss most wins).
- Matches are Best-of-five.
- The winner of the Bo5 advance to the Group Stage.
- The loser of the Bo5 is eliminated and may qualify through following season's qualifiers.
Prize Pool
[edit]₩2,400,000 KRW (≈ $2,194 USD) and 600 WCS Points are divided among participants.
Converted USD prizes are based on the currency exchange rate (taken from xe.com) on April 10, 2015: 1,000 KRW = 0.91408 USD.
* Players must advance one round in order to claim WCS points for that placement. Only Global Seed does not count as advancing one round.[1]
