GSL vs the World is the second WCS Global Event of the year 2017 held on August 3-6 in Seoul, South Korea.
The event features an individual tournament as well as a team tournament in which the 16 top players from the WCS Korea and WCS Circuit face each other.

Format[edit]

  • Single Elimination Bracket:
    • All matches are Bo5.
    • Finals are Bo7.
  • Captains for the two team are:
    • South Korea Lim "NesTea" Jae Duk for Team GSL Allstars.
    • France Ilyes "Stephano" Satouri for Team World Allstars.

Voting[edit]

A public voting was conducted to elect one champion of each race to both GSL and World teams. Links to the voting pages can be found at wcs.starcraft2.com. Team World received three players by popular vote while team GSL received four players with the fourth being the most voted second place from any of the race specific votes. The voting ended on July 19, 2017 - 10:00 PDT.
