Overview[edit]
AZUBU is a media eSports company with South Korean origins and offices in Berlin, Seoul and Los Angeles, providing live and on-demand video streaming service. Apart from operating the Azubu.tv service, the organization provides sponsorship to various eSport events and eSport teams.
AZUBU's StarCraft II team began with their personal sponsorship of viOLet on August 1, 2012. In late 2012, AZUBU began a significant expansion of their roster with the addition of multiple players and staff to the team. This continued into early 2013 when they recruited an additional four players to bolster their ranks for their ability to compete in the GOMTV Global Starcraft II Team League.
After a change in management in early 2014, the decision was taken to close down the StarCraft II team to focus on partnerships with existing teams and players instead. The team officially disbanded on 28 February 2014.[1]
