The Acer StarCraft Challenge is an eight-player offline tournament organised by TaKe and boasting a 5 750 EUR prize pool (completed by hardware prizes), which will be held on November 16 in the Saturn Store of the Alexanderplatz. The eight spots in the tournament are granted via seven open qualifiers: six played online, featuring one spot for their winners as well as a 200 EUR prize, and one played offline in Berlin which grants two spots, for its finalists.[1]

The top 3 players also win hardware prizes. The worth of these hardware prizes is unknown, except for the first place hardware prize (worth €3,000).
Converted USD prizes are based on the currency exchange rate (taken from xe.com) on November 16, 2012: 1 EUR = 1.27376 USD.
Six online qualifiers will be held. Each one will grant the winner a spot in the offline finals and 200 EUR. The last two qualifier will be held offline at the venue, one day before the main event. It will grant the winners a spot in the event. The eight qualified players will play a double-elimination bracket.
