Kim "Check" Min-gyu (born January 5, 1993) is a retired Korean Zerg player.
Biography[edit]
He was placed to play in the 3rd StarCraft II match in 2011-2012 Proleague Season 2: Round 1 Week Two match between 8th Team and Air Force ACE. But his teammates won 2-0 so he didn't play his debut match in StarCraft II.
On August 18, 2013, he was announced to have joined the Belgian team, Western Wolves.[1] On December 31, 2013, Western Wolves disbanded.[2]
On January 28, 2014, he joined Wayi Spider.[3] His first important appearance was at the 2014 WCS Season 2 America, where he achieved Round of 16.
At Wayi Spider, Check played in WCS America and in the Taiwanese domestic professional league TeSL. In WCS America, Check made out to be in Premier League two times. In TeSL, he finished twice in 3rd place (in 2013-2014 Season 4 and 2014-2015 Season 1), and once runner-up, in 2014-2015 Season 2, defeated 3-4 by Ruin in the finals. Besides that, in IEM Season IX Taipei, Check broke up from Open Bracket to the Round of 16 Group Stage.
On February 12, 2015, Wayi Spider's Official Fanclub Facebook page posted a farewell video for Check and Daisy to announce their depart.[4]
After being teamless for over one month, it was announced on March 26, 2015, that Check had returned to Jin Air Green Wings, a team he had already played for before.[5]
On October 30, 2015, he decided not to extend his contract with Jin Air Green Wings and retired.[6] It was announced later that day that he had joined military service on October 27.[7]
