Montana "Chickenman" West is a North American StarCraft 2 Commentator and content creator for PSISTORM Gaming.

Chickenman first started playing and watching StarCraft 2 in early 2011, after his college friends taught him that esports are an actual real thing, and that StarCraft is the best one of them all. After watching Day9 Daily #100, listening to every SC2 song on youtube, and watching GSL on the GOM Player, he was hooked. He played Terran mostly, and back in those days he went by the name Python, but would offrace when playing team games with friends. After a few months of focusing more on StarCraft than on school, Chickenman decided it would be better to actually get his degree in theatre, so StarCraft fell to the wayside.

After a few years of barely playing, he wanted to get back into it. He officially changed his gamertag from Python to Chickenman, created a new Twitch account, and decided to start streaming. He quickly went from Gold to Diamond, and really enjoyed the performative aspect of streaming. He was invited to co-cast the OSC SEA Weekly #69 by the commentator Anansi, and realizing how much fun casting sounded like he quickly agreed. From there, Chickenman cast as much StarCraft as he could while working a job that required 50+ hours per week, picking up OSC events, qualifiers for big tournaments, and whatever else he could.

After getting to meet his heroes at Blizzcon 2019, Chickenman decided to devote more time to streaming and casting, starting his own tournament the Cock of the Walk, and casting the ESL Open Cups every week. After years of hard work, he is now focusing on streaming, casting, and content creation full time.

  • Chickenman once broke his hand after punching a chair in anger, because of a loss in StarCraft.
  • Chickenman has streamed in full drag multiple times as "Missus Chickenman".
  • Chickenman has been in many plays and musicals in Hawaii, where he got his degree in theatre.
