The DSCL Nationals is a single-day tournament for Dutch(-speaking) players, played on December 15th 2019 in the E-sports Game Arena in Alphen aan den Rijn. Twelve players can qualify through a series of qualifying events and an online group stage.

Format[edit]

12 players will enter the event on December 15th. They will play in two round robin groups of 6 players each. The best 3 players from each group advance to single-elimination playoffs. The #1 from each group advances directly to the semifinals (Bo5), while #2’s and #3’s will play one extra round (Bo3). The finals are Bo7.

Of the 12 players, two will be previous winners Harstem and uThermal who receive direct invites. The other 10 will be decided through qualifying tournaments and an online group stage. At selected tournaments (see DSCL.nl/nationals) eligible players can earn DSCL-points. The top-4 of the ranking will earn a direct seed at the DSCL Nationals, while numbers 5 through 16 enter an online group stage (three double-elimination groups of four players) to determine the final 6 participants.

Prize Pool[edit]

A crowdfunding campaign has been set up for the prize pool, and €521,28 was donated by members of the community. The prize pool was distributed among the top 12 players in the following ratio:

  • 1st place – 32%
  • 2nd place – 16%
  • 3/4th place – 8%
  • 5/6th place – 6%
  • 7/12th place – 4%
