For the 5th year running the Dutch StarCraft League hosts the DSCL Open. The prize pool for 2017 is €1,250 and as always the finals take place at an offline event in the Netherlands. This year it will take place at the E-sports Game Arena in Alphen aan den Rijn on Saturday, December 9th.

Format[edit]

The DSCL Open of 2017 features the familiar Online Track as well as a new Local Track to the 12-player single-day finals event. Of these 12 players, 8 players come from the Online Track, and 4 players from the Local Track. At the finals the players will be split up into two 6-player Bo3 round robin groups. The best 3 players from each group advance to single-elimination playoffs. The #1 from each group advances directly to the semifinals (Bo5), while #2’s and #3’s will play one extra round (Bo3). The finals are Bo7.
