Varun "Demi" Immanuel (born February 27, 1994) is an Indian Zerg player who is currently playing for Matcherino Esports.
He was previously known as DemiLove.
Competing in SEA and Europe weekly events, he has established himself as a solid player and showed potential as a upcoming Zerg player.
Biography
[edit]IEM Singapore VIII
[edit]In late 2013 DemiLove won a qualifier earning him a spot in the Open Bracket for IEM Singapore: unfortunately due to visa issues DemiLove had to decline his invitation and the spot was given to Revenant. If DemiLove had attended he would have been in Dual Bracket #2.
Online
[edit]DemiLove has shown lots of success online with multiple deep runs in SEAcrafts, Friday Fun Nights and WCS Qualifiers as well as qualifying for OSC 2014.
2015
[edit]On May 14, 2015, it was announced that DemiLove had left ESC Gaming and joined PSISTORM Gaming.[1]
Trivia
[edit]- Played WC3 Defense of the Ancients initially but switched to StarCraft after watching the 2011 BlizzCon Finals. [Citation needed]
- One the 18 finalists to make it to IEM PyeongChang in 2018 but was defeated by SpeCial.
- Started playing StarCraft II at the age of 18.
- Began playing StarCraft full time after finishing his university program. He was coached by Jared "PiG" Krensel and Sam "Kane" Morrissette.
