The Dox Cup #2 is a SEA tournament hosted and commentated by Dox. In Dox's words, it is "designed to encourage the SEA community to step up their game and embrace the global success of StarCraft 2 competitive eSports". To further this aim Dox Cup #2 features 8 international professionals seeded into a 32 man bracket joined by the top 8 from Dox Cup 1 and 16 players from an 128 player open bracket that is restricted to players with an active SEA account.
2,500 Australian Dollars are spread among the players as seen below:
Converted USD prizes are based on the currency exchange rate (taken from xe.com) on December 4, 2011: 1 AUD = 1.02234 USD.
- 1v1 Double-elimination bracket
- Every round is a best-of-three.
- Grand Finals are two best-of-three series, where the upper bracket winner only needs to win one.
Map Pool Details
The first map in each round will be pre-determined (and published on the brackets). The loser will pick the following map until a victor emerges. The same map cannot be played twice in a single round. Winner Bracket Final, Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final maps will be selected via a process of 4x Veto's, 2x Choices and the remaining map will be played first.
