Overview[edit]
The ESL Pro Tour 2023/24 (EPT) is a series of events organized by or in cooperation with ESL. They are designed to include three major StarCraft II broadcasters, AfreecaTV, and ESL. ESL Pro Tour will be essentially split into four regions, only reunited in Global Events and in the Global Finals at Esports World Cup 2024 that concludes the season.
18 spots in the Esports World Cup 2024 (Global Finals) will be available, either by winning specific events, or by being one of the top-ranked players of the regional EPT Standings.
Format[edit]
The ESL Pro Tour 2023/24 system is split into four regions, each region has their individual standings.
Regions[edit]
For EPT, the world is divided into two regions:
- South Korea
- Rest of the World, split into the sub regions:
- Europe (Europe and Africa)
- Americas (North and South Americas)
- Asia (Oceania and all Asian countries except South Korea)

GSL[edit]
Three seasons of Global StarCraft II League (GSL) awarding points for 2023.
Two seasons of Global StarCraft II League (GSL) awarding points for 2024.
GSL: Code S consists of a Round of 16 DE Group Stage followed by a Round of 8 DE Group Stage and a 4 player single-elimination Playoffs bracket.
Regional Play[edit]
Three SC2 Masters Seasons split into regional Divisions (Europe, Americas, Asia (except Korea)) awarding EPT Circuit points.
Each Division has a different prize pool and format. The Divisions are region locked and qualify players to the Global part of the two SC2 Masters Seasons.
Global Events[edit]
Online Weekly tournaments provide additional points every Sunday/Monday.
Masters Championship 2024[edit]
At the end of the year, eighteen players qualify to the Esports World Cup 2024.
- The winner of ESL SC2 Masters 2023 Summer.
- The winner of ESL SC2 Masters 2023 Winter.
- The top 4 players of ESL SC2 Masters 2024 Spring.
- The top 4 players of IEM Katowice 2024.
- With EPT points:
- EPT Korea: 2 seeds from the standings
- EPT Circuit: 4 seeds from the standings
- 2 for Europe, 1 for Americas, 1 for Asia.
- The winner of the 2 Open Qualifiers.
Format[edit]
- Main Stage:
- 16 players into 2 Groups of 8 players each.
- Double-elimination brackets.
- All matches are Bo5.
- Winner of each group advances to the Final Four.
- 2nd Place of each group play a match, Winner advances to the Final Four.
- 16 players into 2 Groups of 8 players each.
- Knockout Bracket:
- 13 players from the Main Stage and 2 players from the Qualifiers.
- Single-elimination bracket.
- All matches are Bo3.
- Finals are Bo5.
- Winner advances to the Final Four.
- 13 players from the Main Stage and 2 players from the Qualifiers.
- Final Four:
- Single-elimination bracket.
- Semifinals are Bo7.
- Grand Finals are Bo9.
