Markus "Emperor" Løtveit (born December 29, 1993) is a Norwegian Protoss player who last played for Oslo Lions.
Wings of Liberty
[edit]Emperor has been playing since the release of Starcraft II, and started out in Bronze league. He worked his way up the leagues and eventually joined the team DeaD.Gaming.[1] After having shown success in the Norwegian scene and winning several online cups, he was picked up by Aposis on 29 February 2012 (at about 23:30). Emperor won many online tournaments, among them the Late Night Cup #71.[2]
Emperor qualified for the NM SpillExpo 2012 online playoff, but unfortunately met his teammate 
Icho in the first round and was eliminated.
Emperor has been active in the Starcraft II community, and is a caster for IMBAtv.[3]
Heart of the Swarm
[edit]Emperor, together with Icho, took 2nd place at The Gathering 2013 2v2 competition and received hardware, including an SSD, valued at 2000NOK (~350USD) as their prize.
Emperor was able to qualify for the premier division of the first season of Norwegian StarLeague by taking out strong players such as VGN, teammate actioN and CreamCake in the qualifiers for qualification points. Emperor was placed in a tough group with some of the very best Norwegian Zerg players TargA, Prebs and Skruffy. In June 2013, Emperor started struggling with his wrist and decided to take an extended break lasting 7 months before coming back at the start of 2014. A few months after returning, Emperor managed to qualify for the spring season of the Norwegian Steelseries Starcraft League by beating players such as Civi, Kazumo and Kolbein. Later on, in July 2014, Emperor qualified for the first Komplett Barcraft Experience tournament and was able to advance from his group. At the offline event, Emperor was matched with Rake in the winners bracket, and Evire in the loser bracket losing 2-0 and 2-1 respectively.
Legacy of the Void
[edit]Emperor returned to the Starcraft II scene with Legacy of the Void after a half year break playing Heroes of the Storm. In January 2016, Emperor joined the newly created Oslo Lions Starcraft team with Skruffy, Bemnex and Ideaus. During the Spring of 2016 Emperor, together with Oslo Lions, took third place at the Telenorligaen team league, after scheduling conflicts forced them to forfeit in the semi finals. In the individual event Emperor placed 23rd. As of autumm 2016, Emperor retired from Starcraft 2 citing lack of regional tournaments.
With the free2play patch and the resurgence of Norwegian Starcraft 2 tournaments such as the OVK tournament series Emperor made his return late 2017. His first result was a 3rd place at OVK Autumm tournament where he got knocked out in the semi finals by HeltEn winning 750 NOK. In the following months Emperor took 8th and 3rd place finish (200 NOK) in the Norwegian Freestar January and February cup beating players such as Darroweve and ErL. In March Emperor once again competed in the OVK Easter tournament finishing 3rd place after beating ErL twice securing yet another 750 NOK.
