About[edit]
European Pro Series is a weekly StarCraft 2 tournament. Inaugural competition took place on the 7th of July 2011. Players from all leagues can participate. It takes place on the European server. There is a limit to the maximum amount of players - 128. Only players who check-in 30 minutes before the tournament starts will be able to play in the event. There is a €25 prize pool.
European Pro Series is hosted by Verax from www.z33k.com where many other tournaments can be found.
Format[edit]
- Rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be Best of 1 and players will randomly be pitted against one another.
- After these rounds are complete, games in Quarter-Finals and Semifinals will continue as Best of 3.
- Final will be played as Best of 5.
Maps[edit]
The map for the Bo1 matches are set. For matches that are Best of 3 or more, the first map is determined through a map vote process. This means both players get to vote down maps from the map pool, until one map is left. This is the map they will play their first game on. After the initial game, the loser must pick a map from the same map pool. Each map can be played on only once.
