Lee "firebathero" Sung Eun is a former South Korean Brood War progamer who played for Air Force ACE. Originally a Terran player, he switched to Protoss in StarCraft II.[1] He is now a caster for GOMTV.


firebathero made his debut in progaming with Samsung KHAN in 2006. He made average runs in his two first participations in the OnGameNet Starleague, but played noticeably better in Proleague and soon became an asset for his team. His career reached its peak at the 2007 GOMTV MSL Season 2, where he reached the semifinals at the expense of sAviOr. In the beginning of 2009, firebathero entered a severe slump, being eliminated in the early rounds of the starleagues on a regular basis.

Aside from his achievements, firebathero is known for his controversial elaborate ceremonies.

After being discharged from the army and leaving Air Force ACE, firebathero joined GOMTV as a GSTL caster on September 17, 2012.[2]

Wings of Liberty[edit]

In May 2012, it was reported that firebathero had switched to Protoss. He played his first official SC2 match during the hybrid 2011-2012 Proleague Season 2.[1]

2012 OSL KeSPA Preliminaries[edit]

On July 19, 2012, firebathero participated in the 2012 OSL KeSPA Preliminaries. firebathero received a BYE in round one and then took down Modesty, Stork, and faced BaBy in the finals. In the finals, firebathero wasn't able to advance any further as he took 2nd place after losing to BaBy by a score of 0:2.
