This is a list of foreigners who have attempted to qualify for GSL through the preliminaries (Code B). Note that the information is incomplete due to missing info before Season 2 of 2012.

The placement means their placement within their respective 16-man bracket, of which there are usually 21. Moreover, 1st place means Qualified. "GSL" means that they were already in GSL without the need to go through Code B, either because they placed well enough the previous season or were given a seed directly into GSL. The table is sorted chronologically after their first run in Code B.

2014-2020

From 2014 onwards, the qualifier format was changed to be double-elimination from the semifinals onwards, with the top 2 players in each bracket qualifying, with the exception of 2016 Season 1, where the top 3 qualified. From 2015 onwards, brackets were shortened from 16 players to 8. From 2018 onwards, the qualifiers were split in to two days, with the players who did not qualify on the first day advancing to the second, with the top 2 of each group advancing on both days. The first day's groups were double-elimination, while the second day's groups were single-elimination until the semifinals, after which they were double-elimination.
