Nam "Hurricane" Ki-woong (born November 18, 1995) is a Korean Protoss player who last played for Team LaoPaoer.
He is formerly known as "Tear".
Wings Of Liberty[edit]
In 2011 Hurricane participated in several tournaments including:
- GSL November Preliminaries where he was eliminated in Ro 8.
- MyCall StarCraft II League Season 3.
- MyCall StarCraft II League Season 2 Spin-Off.
- FXOpen KOTH/Korea Week 9.
- Korean StarLeague Daily.
- Korean Weekly 16.
In 2012 Hurricane made the debut for his team FXOpen e-Sports in the 2012 GSTL Season 1 in the match against MVP but lost to KeeN in the 1st set.
ESV TV Korea Weekly[edit]
On June 14, 2012, Hurricane participated in the ESV TV Korean Weekly Season 3 Weekly 6. After taking down Shuttle, TaeJa, JKS, and Arthur, Hurricane advanced in to the finals to face Life. He wasn't able to grab first place after losing to Life by a score of 2-3 and took second place.
Esports Weekly Match[edit]
On February 16, 2012, Hurricane participated in the EWM Season 1 Week 2. Hurricane took down MajOr, CraZy, AnNyeong, cOre, and Hack to advance in to the finals against Soulman. Hurricane defeated Soulman by a score of 2-0 and advanced in to the EWM Season 1 Finals where he would have a shot to obtain a Code A seed if he won against the other weekly winners.
On March 23, 2012, Hurricane participated in the EWM Season 2 Week 1. Hurricane took down RagnaroK, Pet, Galaxy, Tassadar, and LosirA to advance in to the finals against YoDa. Hurricane defeated YoDa by a score of 2-0 and advanced in to the EWM Season 2 Finals where he would have a shot to obtain a Code A seed if he won against the other weekly winners.
On July 6, 2012, Hurricane participated in the EWM Season 3 Week 5. Tear took down GGF, Whale, Arthur, and CoCa to advance in to the finals against asd. Hurricane defeated asd by a score of 2-0 and advanced in to the EWM Season 3 Finals where he would have a shot to obtain a Code A seed if he won against the other weekly winners.
On August 4, 2012, Hurricane participated in the EWM Season 3 Finals. Hurricane took down Revival in the first round and then advanced in to the second round to face LosirA. After defeating LosirA by a score of 2-1, Hurricane advanced in to the finals to face finale. He was not able to advance any further and had to settle for second place after he lost to finale by a score of 0-2.
World Championship Series[edit]
2012 WCS Korea Preliminaries[edit]
On July 23, 2012, Hurricane participated in the 2012 South Korea WCS Preliminaries. Hurricane received a BYE in round one and then took down TurN, Lucky, Life, and faced YugiOh in the finals. He was not able to advance any further as he lost to YugiOh by a score of 0:2 and took 2nd place.

- Changed his name from Tear to Hurricane.
- According to the Unofficial World Champion concept, Hurricane was World Champion for 125 consecutive days. This is 42 more days than the previous title holder, MMA, and stood as the longest ever for over 4 years until it was overtaken by Serral.
- He won TL.net's weekly MVP Award for his performance in the second week of the Gold Series Team Championship 2020 Spring Season.[1]
