Intel Extreme Masters Season XII

The Intel Extreme Masters is ESL's flagship competition sponsored by Intel. IEM is a huge tournament spanning many months and individual competitions culminating in the Global Championships.
Events[edit]
Season XII features a number of Global Challenges and a World Championship. Four IEM events have been announced for Season XII, two of them including a StarCraft II tournament.
Season XII:
- IEM Sydney (2017-05-06 – 2017-05-07) - This event will not host a StarCraft II tournament [1]
- IEM Shanghai (2017-07-27 – 2017-07-30)[2]
- IEM Oakland (2017-11-18 - 2017-11-19) - This event will not host a StarCraft II tournament [3]
- IEM PyeongChang (2018-02-05 – 2018-02-07) - This event is part of the Olympics but not of the 2018 StarCraft II World Championship Series [4]

- World Championship at Katowice (2018-03-02 – 2018-03-04) [5]
