OSC Points 2015

Things to consider if you want your tournament included in the OSC yearly circuit, points system, event promotion and additional playerbase incentives. The OSC Admin team will discuss and offer a points distribution package based upon these factors:

Required Information and Rules

-Must open to SEA players (SEA consists of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Japan and surrounding nations. China is also included as a OSC nation.)

-Prizepool (AUD standard)

-Frequency, eg Daily, Weekly (Dont want to be giving out heaps of points daily on regular occurance)

-SEA Only or International (International harder)

-Format: Single Elim, Bo1's discouraged. Groups, Double Elim and Bo3+ ecouraged.

-Invitationals must have at least 25% open to all via qualifiers

3rd/4th: 5 OSC points each
5th-8th: 2.5 OSC points each

Bonus OSC 'Scalp' Points

• Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 16: 5 OSC points
• Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher than themselves: 2.5 OSC points
• Anyone ranked 16th - 9th beats anyone ranked equal or higher than themselves: 2.5 OSC points
• 1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points.

SEA Participation OSC Bonus Points

For each OSC tournament a SEA Player signs up and play in (No walkovers!!), they will be awarded 5 OSC points. This servers as'home ground advantage' with guaranteed $ rewards to local players, and replaces previous #Dedication ladder points.

If a tournament is stretched over more than one day, you only get 5 points total, not each day. EG WCS 2-3 days, only 5 points since just the one tournament.

This includes qualifiers. If there is a main event, with 2-3 qualifiers, you only get the particpation bonus once.

Challenge Points

Players may earn extra points with Challenge Matches!

Challenge Matches are a way to earn OSC Points, settle rivalries, get revenge on the guy who knocked you out of a recent tourney, is bm on ladder/forums, etc. It also presents as a way to leapfrog someone up the ranks. You pick the reason to call a challenge, if you need one, regardless, the goal is to take his/her points! Send out a challenge!

Minimum points a challenge must start at is 15 each, Max 100. Winner takes all!
Max can be extended towards the end of the season (150).

If both players agree they may then face off in a best of 5 or 7 series for the OSC points.

The OSC team will donate a bonus 15 points to winner of any best of 5 streamed match, and 25 points towards any best of 7 streamed match!!

Challenges must be approved by a member of the OSC team.
