Aderson "Potiguar" Jamier is a former professional Brazilian Protoss player. He is currently retired.
Potiguar is one of the better-known Brazilian players and is a participant in various LA tournaments, including attendance at the Latin-American Invitational Tournament, WCG 2011 Brazil and numerous other online tournaments.
His career in StarCraft began in 2000, when a cousin showed him Starcraft: Brood War. It took Potiguar about two months to complete the campaign.
Also in StarCraft: Brood War, Potiguar sought to enter the competitive landscape, competing in the WCG National in 2006 and 2007.
Wings of Liberty
His first major tournament appearance was at IEM Sao Paulo, but he lost all of his matches in the group stage against viOLet, ReaL and BiGs, taking only a single game. Even with a 0-3 record, Potiguar was acclaimed by the crowd for showing good games.
World Championship Series
2012 WCS Brazil Nationals
From May 5 to May 6, 2012, Potiguar participated in the World Championship Series Nationals: Brazil. After overcoming kelseN, Fortune, Ahkee, and Naxx, Potiguar advanced in to the finals to face Tunico. In the finals, Potiguar defeated Tunico with a score of 1-2, 2-1.
- His ID is a tribute to the city where he lives, Natal - Brazil, people who are born in this place are called "Potiguar", which means "shrimp eater".
