Corbet "Rushi" Butler is a StarCraft II commentator from the USA who is currently part of Alpha X.


Rushi started playing StarCraft 2 in 2012 towards the end of Wings of Liberty. He was encouraged by his college friend to give it a try and ended up playing mostly 2v2s with friends. Over time, he began to play more 1v1s and climb the NA ladder. He has taken coaching lessons from StarCraft mainstays like PiG, Neuro, starkiller and Lowko. He plays and streams his ladder experience under the Alpha X clan tag.

As a Caster[edit]

In June 2018, Rushi teamed up with Proxy Tempest and began his casting career with Shyrshadi on the Proxy Tempest weekly NA Open. Rushi was an active part of the Proxy Tempest team until 2019.

In December 2018, Rushi joined Alpha X. He soon became one of the primary casters for various Alpha X hosted events, such as the Alpha Pro Series and the Alpha X Junior Championships.

Today, Rushi continues to serve as a regular caster for Alpha X events and as a freelance caster for various community, WCS, and ESL events.


  • Outside of StarCraft, Rushi is a full-time band teacher. He has taught high school band since 2011.
  • Rushi plays the tuba and string bass, but can play most instruments.
  • Rushi is a very tall man, standing at 6 feet 8 inches, or 2.02 meters.
