Brian "SaroVati" Zhao is a Canadian Protoss player hailing from Alberta, Canada. SaroVati was the captain of Clarity Gaming until they disbanded. Known for his unusual playstyle, SaroVati is a consistent finalist in many local LANs and online cups. He is currently playing for Flipsid3 Tactics.
Biography[edit]
SaroVati is a full-time engineering student at the University of Alberta. Known for his unusual play style, SaroVati attempts to exploits the strength of every unit by focusing his play on specific timings and all ins. Outside of Starcraft, Brian is very active with his men's basketball league, participating in intramural sports at his University, and coaching the volleyball team at his local high school.
Wings of Liberty[edit]
SaroVati participated in The Breakout Invitational and was able to take first place after defeating NuBrGNi, Arium, Bones, and runner-up JonSnow in the finals with a score of 4-1. True to its name, this was certainly SaroVati's breakout performance. In Wings of Liberty SaroVati had won many local LANs and online cups, but this was the first time he had the opportunity to show his play to a large audience.
Heart of the Swarm[edit]
In 2014, he managed to qualify for WCS Season 1 America Challenger League during the first qualifier. Sarovati would fall 3-0 to Minigun in his Up and Down match for Premiere League.
SaroVati competed in MLG Anaheim 2014. He was knocked into the losers bracket in round 2 losing 0-2 to HyuN after beating Kreos 2-1, and State 2-0. In the losers bracket he fell out of the tournament losing 0-2 to Harstem in round 7.
SaroVati competed in the 2014 WCS Season 1 America Qualifier #2. He defeated RSM, PandaBearMe, and Bones before losing to Cowman.
