Juha-Matti "Satiini" Bäckström (born June 16, 1987) is a Finnish Terran player who last played for RuW.
Biography[edit]
Satiini is more known in the Warcraft III scene. His most notable tournament was the AMD Challenge Black, where he placed 3rd. His Warcraft III and StarCraft II careers have suffered from his aerophobia [1] and general discomfort of traveling. Satiini has been in a lot of noticeable clans during his Warcraft III career including Fnatic, mTw and Team Giants.
Wings of Liberty[edit]
Satiini's career in StarCraft II has earned him a lot of success in the weekly ZOTAC Cup with a couple of semifinal spots and winning the 13th cup over DIMAGA.
On July 20, 2011, Satiini joined the newly formed team Fightline.[2] On October 31, Satiini left Fightline and joined eSahara alongside his teammate and friend Naama.[3]
On November 2, 2011, Satiini qualified for DreamHack Winter 2011 by reaching the finals of DreamHack Winter 2011 Online Qualifier #4, beating sLivko in the semifinals. However, he did not attend and was replaced by StarNaN.
On June 4, 2012, Absolute Legends (which had acquired eSahara's SC2 lineup in March 2012) announced that they did not renew his contract, leaving him teamless.[4] He joined team incredible Panic later that month.[5]
On November 11, 2012, Satiini joined Mistral eSport [6]
On December 18, 2012, Satiini rejoined incredible Panic, after Mistral eSport failed to fulfil various promises.[7]
On January 23, 2013, Satiini joined Cascade.[8]
Heart of the Swarm[edit]
In August 2013, Satiini joined the Australian team Phoenix e-sports, but left within a month after the team failed to pay his salary, arousing controversy in the Australian scene.[9]
On September 29, 2013, Satiini joined RuW.[10]
